Home Group Windows 7
Windows 7 presents you with a new opportunity to provide general access to files through online connectivity: Home group. Regrettably, the Home Team is designed to work only with Windows 7. This makes computer connections managed by previous Windows, Linux or Mac to Windows 7 unnecessarily difficult. Fortunately, there are ways to solve this problem.
Steps
- Set up the Working Group. As the Household Group is only available on Windows 7 computers, an attempt to connect Mac usually fails. Instead, the establishment of the Working Group would make it possible. The Working Group does not provide the same functionality as the Home Group, but by a thin design, you can achieve almost the same result.
To establish the Working Group:
- On the Windows 7 computer, press the Puske menu, the right cheek on the Kombewter and select the Forces. Then press the " Complementary parameters of the system " . There'll be a dialogue window.
- Relocate to the " computer name " , which provides access to dominance structures, the Working Group and press " Change... "
- Relocate to the computer name and press the change...
- The window " Computer or Domain Name " will open.
You will see the name of the Working Group that you are already members or you can create a new group.
- Add your Mac to Windows 7.
- Go to System Buildings and press Seth.
- Press the WINS deposit and make sure that the name of the Working Party is the same as the Windows 7.
- To ensure that your Mac can provide and access files in general, go to Systems and press General Access. Follow the interface to change the desired parameters of access to folders.
- Connect Mas directly to PC. If you have a few computers with Windows 7 in the House Group, but you want to connect Mac only to one of them, there's a solution that doesn't change either the House Group or the Working Group.
